1. Who We Are

ShopifyCalc (shopify-fee-calc.com) is an independent website providing free shipping rate calculators and fee estimator tools for e-commerce sellers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Shopify Inc., USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or any carrier mentioned on this site.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate the website:

  • Usage analytics — via Google Analytics 4 (GA4). This includes: pages visited, time on site, approximate geographic location (city/country level), browser type, device type, and referral source. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
  • Cookies — GA4 sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies expire after 2 years and 24 hours respectively.
  • IP addresses — collected by GA4 but anonymized (IP anonymization is enabled). We do not store raw IP addresses.
  • Calculator inputs — all calculator inputs (weight, price, destination) are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers.

3. How We Use Data

  • To understand which tools and pages are most useful to visitors
  • To improve site performance and content quality
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing
  • We do not use data to identify individual users

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google may transfer data to servers outside the EU/EEA. For details on how Google processes this data, see Google's Privacy Policy.

To opt out of GA tracking, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or use browser privacy settings.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are located in the European Union (EU) or California (USA), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

6. Data Retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. We do not maintain any independent databases of user activity.

We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the most recent changes were made.
